 Race Results: Street Legal First Race (27FEB2010)

 A new year and a brand new start for the street legal pointseries.
Starting this first race Otmar Conradus (Golf VR6) beats Andy Bonifacio (Starlet)
in the Street Bracket Category. In the IHRA Box category 1st place
goes to Millard Petrona (Monte Carlo) followed by Raishel Maduro (Ford Capri).
In the IHRA No-Box category Stephan Trapenberg (Chevy Camaro) takes 1st place while
Mitchel Fonseca (Plymouth Duster) ends 2nd Place.
Winner of the Street ET Bike category is Christopher "Cleo" Soerka (Hayabusa).
2nd Place for Rendolf Torbed (Suzuki GSX).

The street legal pointseries are getting bigger and bigger.
We always expect a lot of participants for the first race of the year
but this year beats all previous years.
A street legal pointseries event with 147 vehicles participating is a new
event record compared to previous races.
The Street Bracket category alone had a total of 75 participants!
The amounts of visitors was also 2500+ which is also a new record.
Just to refresh this is a little explanation about the Street Legal Pointstanding.
We have 9 races every year, each race starting this year has 4 categories:
Street Bracket, IHRA Box, IHRA No-Box and Street ET Bike.
Only the best 7 races will summarize the total pointseries points at the end of
the year for each category. Fundashon Autosport Curacao (FAC) will award prizes
to the top 10 of each category.
Additionally IHRA members also participate in the IHRA Summit Super Series
while competing in the IHRA BOX and IHRA NO-BOX categories.
Besides the street legal pointseries events there are some more
National & International Drag Races (April, July) which qualify for
the IHRA Summit Super Series.
