On Thursday 20MAY2010 The Boss Racing Foundation (TBRF) has announced that they are cancelling all drag racing activities on the Palo Marga Raceway in Aruba till further notice.
Reason for this is a big theft of +/- 600 Meters of high current electricity cables on the track.

Update: 20MAY2010
3 Colombians arrested as prime suspects when they tried to sell the copper according to article at Awe24.Com
Stealing of electricity cables apparently isn't only a problem on the island of Curacao. Thieves burn the cable in order to sell the remaining copper to metal recyclers.
Apparently these thieves have no idea the amount of damage they have caused to the sport of Drag Racing in Aruba. And the results will also be felt on the island of Curacao since we have a lot of racers who enjoy to travel and race over there specially during the One Cool Summers races at the end of August.
We hope The Boss Racing Foundation can gather all the resources possible to recover from this terrible loss.
