 Race Results: National Flag Day - Day 1 (02JUL2010)

 These are the results of race day 1 of this "National" race with international touch.
Besides local races we also had participants from Venezuela and drivers from USA, Netherlands and Bonaire.
1st Place in the Super Street Legal Category goes to Asis Pereira ("Gladiator", Nissan Skyline), 2nd place goes
to Acho Liberia ("Watash Racing", BMW 325i). In Super Gas defending champion Danilo Nammour ("Zapato Grande 1", Mustang) from Venezuela beats newcomer Elton Balentien ("Mi Dushi", Ford Roadster).
Burnard Schmidt ("Most Wanted Racing", Hayabusa) wins the Curacao Super Street Bike Category
while Edburth Broos ("No Limit Racing", Hayabusa) ends 2nd place. Exciting double break-out final race in the Super ET category,
winner Rummenige Stephens ("Tweety", Corolla Turbo), runner up Stephan Trapenberg ("Mr Punch 6", Corvette).
Raishel Maduro ("Not Available", Ford Capri) beats Robby Walle ("Zemble", Camaro) in the Super Street Category. In the Super Comp
Category Arthur Zimmerman ("Follow Me", Camaro Z-28) took the victory. Runner Up is Swindely Martina ("Poison #73", Camaro).
Winner Super Comp Bike is Raymich Martis (Hayabusa) leaving Sajid Oneil (Most Wanted Racing, Hayabusa) in 2nd place.

Due to rain 3 categories (Super Gas, Super Street Bike and Super Comp Bike) were postponed and finished on day 2.
No major problems (2 small oil downs) and no accidents indicating very nice night of racing.
During qualifying in the Super Modified Stock category the best ET for Mr Holley 5, Johannes De Boer was 8.173 @ 165 MPH.
Humphrey Wijngaarde was having problems and didn't make a good pass.
In the highest Top Gun category we first had a Road Test followed by 2 qualifying runs.
During the test run Alcidez Gimenez (Pontiac GTO "The Judge") registered an ET 6.762 @ 208.76 MPH.
Dodge Avenger "King Kong 4" driven by Pat Musi registered an ET 7.037 @155.79 MPH and Danilo Nammour (Ford Mustang "Zapato Grande 3)
registered an ET 6.860 202.97 MPH.
During the 2 Top Gun qualifying sessions the following times were registered:
- Danilo Nammour (Ford Mustang "Zapato Grande 3") - ET 6.822 @ 204.54 MPH
- Pat Musi (Dodge Avenger "King Kong 4") - ET 7.533 @ 137.29 MPH
- Alcidez Jimenez (Pontiac GTO "The Judge") did not show up during these sessions.
